Bingo TV Ad Leaves Residents In Anger

Residents living close to Sefton Park in Liverpool were absolutely shocked when they found rotten food and bags of rubbish that had been left on the streets of their home town on Saturday. A film company had been filming a bingo ad for two days in Lark Lane, Aigburth and had used many extras.

The rubbish was left behind by them. It was not just a case of wastepaper, there was rotting food and the bags with the food scraps had been ripped open by dogs and foxes.

On Sunday the rubbish was still not cleared up and although the film company had received permission from the Local Council to shoot the film, no-one from the council had checked that they had left the shoot clean and tidy. Eventually the mess was cleaned up on the Monday, but this did not make the residents living in the area feel all that happy, they were of the opinion that the incident should never have taken place, and rightly so! The feeling was that if the shoot had been properly organised and someone had taken responsibility to see that everything was cleared away, they would not have had to spend the weekend with rubbish strewn all over their streets.

The film company who were making the ad for Foxy Bingo did apologise and stated that they were really embarrassed by their “mess up”.

Second Mecca Bingo Millionaire In Three Weeks

What a coincidence the second Mecca Bingo Millionaire prize has been won and at the very same bingo club as the first millionaire win took place, Mecca’s Glasgow Forge!

The timing of the win is also the strangest coincidence, if you remember when we reported the last Mecca Bingo Millionaire win, the first win came just three weeks after the launch of the Mecca Bingo Millionaire bingo game and this win – the second one, comes just twenty one days after the last one, three weeks to be precise.

When the Mecca Bingo Millionaire game was launched, their goal was to make one new millionaire approximately every 45 days. So it appears that Mecca Bingo has been true to their word and the innings are good for the next winner to scoop another £million prize within the next 45 days.

This second Mecca Bingo Million prize was won by a pensioner and they have chosen to remain anonymous, so we don’t really have much of a scoop for you in terms of the shock, surprise and excitement experienced by the winner.

Scottish bingo clubs have been considered amongst the luckiest bingo clubs in the country for a few years now and the Mecca Forge is no exception. I am sure that business is going to pick up quite dramatically at this bingo club in the near further while bingo punters try to nab the next million prize.

Gala Bingo TV Has First Birthday

The latest in gaming technology; brings Bingo TV to the viewer. What an innovation, and Gala Bingo TV was launched on the 4th of October 2006.

The channel has now celebrated its 1st birthday and is becoming more and more popular. It is quite unbelievable to conceptualize that Television can now provide your favorite online bingo game at the touch of a button. Gala TV was the first to launch this product and many others have, quite understandably followed-suit.

The Gala TV bingo channel is on 841 via Sky and is considered to be a fantastic product for British bingo players. It has a rapidly expanding user base; the channel gives away over £100,000 in bingo prize money daily and has more than 4000 winners in a week. It is unfortunate that this news is in retrospect, because the promotions they ran to celebrate their 1st anniversary were apparently quite something. But better late than never, as they say, perhaps it might be worth your while to take a look at this channel; they run ongoing promotions and the prizes seem to be more than worthwhile.

I think that if you subscribe to Sky, why not tune in and have a peep at what is going on, Gala Bingo TV is a great option for people who can’t access bingo or online bingo games any other way and like to have a bit of a bet on the game.

European iGaming Congress Meets in Barcelona

This is the sixth year for the meetings of the European iGaming Congress and Expo. The current meetings are underway in Barcelona, Spain at the International Convention Center.

The three day Congress consists of exhibitions and meetings. There are also networking parties, a football tournament and golf for the participants. This year’s Wednesday night networking party was held at the fashionable Opium Cinema – Restaurant and Lounge Club. The Congress is attended by a literal who’s who of the online bingo world. Many of the big names in online bingo, like Alderney Gaming, Microgaming, RealTime Gaming and NeTeller are sponsoring the conference. The list of exhibitors includes many of the software companies and the big gaming companies, in addition to many others.

High on the list of discussions is the situation in America, with the new UIGEA regulations having been released this week. The online gaming entities are basically locked out of the American market since financial institutions are prohibited from processing transactions between American players and their gambling companies.

The enactment of this law has forced gaming companies, including online bingo operators, to look for other markets in South America, Europe and Asia. Many of the discussions at the Congress will center upon these issues as the gaming industry copes with the changes that have taken place in the past year and recover from their departure from the U.S. market. Discussions have also included the need to be quick to pick up on new trends and adapt to the market.
