Bingo Jackpot Sharing

Bingo jackpot sharing, which is a common practice in ninety ball bingo in both online and land based establishments, is becoming more controversial.  Some online playing sites ban the practice.

The nature of the ninety ball game is such that there is one winner for one line, a second winner for the second line and a third winner for the third line, or house.  The winner of house wins the bingo jackpot.

Bingo jackpot sharing occurs when the players decide to divide the bingo jackpot amongst them.  Many sites disallow the practice since they are private agreements between the players.  Many times these agreements are broken when the winner of the jackpot decides to keep the money and not share it with the other players.

In some situations, players fund the account of other players who buy the cards for the game, thinking they will share in any of the winnings. If the winning player decides not to share the winnings, there is nothing the other players can do.

Many players feel that these arrangements are not only highly unfair, but illegal.  There is not much that players can do about these arrangements.  Many sites will ban players caught taking part in jackpot sharing.
