Bingo “Lucky Chair” Syndrome Pays off for Great-Grandmother

We have often mentioned that bingo players really do believe that their luck comes down to sitting in the right chair or carrying the right charm and this eighty year old great-grandmother is no exception. She truly believes that by sitting in her “lucky chair” at the Gala Bingo Club in Stockland Green, she scooped the £50,000 National Bingo jackpot, calling full house in just 44 numbers.

The lucky lady said that she has been playing bingo for a good many years and in the past has picked up various prizes, the smallest being £80 and the largest being £1000. But she just could not believe that she had won such a huge prize, she was so flabbergasted that she could barely shout house when she realized that she had won, she says that she all but lost her voice and had to call twice as her nerves had made her voice all husky.

The winner, true to form of UK bingo players, was not really thinking of herself in terms of the huge prize money, but mentioned that she would like to help her grand children and great-grandson and said that her son was getting married and she would now be able to contribute something towards his wedding.
