Bingo Fundraising Week

Every year Mecca Bingo hosts a week of fundraising for charity and this year the fundraising will take place from October 19-25.  The massive charity effort is always popular with the players.

This year, the charity effort is being lead by Michelle Collins what has been featured in the Eastenders and Two Thousand Acres of Sky.  The effort is called the Bingo Breakthrough week.

The charity fundraiser has been taking place for five years and has raised £2.75 million and they are hoping to reach £3 million with this year’s effort. Players can take part in the fundraiser by playing bingo in Mecca bingo halls or by playing online.

The bingo clubs will be offering many competitions for the fundraiser, aside from bingo.  There will be raffles and costume competitions.  Michelle Collins has already modeled a ball gown made entirely of bingo tickets to promote the event. 

Players will receive a free game of bingo when they participate.  They can also make a donation and enter into a drawing to win this year’s mascot.  The bingo clubs will also be selling pink daubers in honor of the event and 75p of the price will go to the charity.
