Retired Docker Wins Big at Bingo
A seventy-seven year old retired docker from Newport, had been feeling ill for about five weeks and had not been participating in his local bingo game, something that he had done for years, he was really missing his bingo night out, so despite still feeling really tired from his bout of illness, he decided to buck himself up and last Saturday, he and his wife went out to their local bingo club – the Castle Club in Usk Way, Newport.
Not long after starting his night out the lucky man won the National Bingo Game prize of £80,000, so his first night back certainly proved fortuitous. He completed the full house in forty-one number, and this was lower than anyone in any of the other 470 participating clubs, to take home a whopping amount of £80,400. Although he is a regular player at the Castle Club, the most he had ever won was £2,600 and that was quite a while ago.
The gentleman who is a father of three and grandfather to four children said that the win went a long way to cheering him up and he was certainly feeling a lot better for it, would be spending a good Christmas with his family, but they don’t know what they were going to do with the rest of the money, once they received their cheque they would decide how, but they were definitely going to spend it. I hope he enjoys every minute of it and it keeps him feeling well for a long time to come!
