Update on £1 Million Bingo Win Legal Wrangle
Cameron Fyfe, the lawyer acting on behalf of Mr. Jean McCullagh, who was the second winner of the £1 million in the Mecca Bingo club, Glasgow, is fighting for Mrs. McCullaghs’ right to keep the entire £1 million prize bingo jackpot money to herself.
It is his opinion that the onus is upon the other parties to the dispute to prove that they in fact did have an agreement with the winner that she would share the winnings.
Mr Fyfe stated that Mrs. McCullagh is genuinely very distressed and the entire thing has overwhelmed her. He stated that these types of cases are really difficult to prove and she has insisted that there was never any such agreement in place. He intends to call to the bench a number of the staff members who were present at the Mecca bingo club on the night of the win and he believes that they will support Mrs. McCullagh’s case.
Mrs. McCullagh is being sued by Rosie and Jessie, her sisters-in-law who both insist that Jean promised that she would give them each £250,000.
