Air Bingo Imminent

Airlines such as British Airways, Singapore Air, Virgin, BA and even the budget Irish airline Ryan Air are all vying to take bingo to the skies, and it appears as though this will actually take place in the coming few months.

The UK’s more broad-minded gambling laws are to thank for this. So together with the more traditional forms of in-flight entertainment, long haul travellers who enjoy their online bingo will be able to enjoy the game, and perhaps event form a bingo “mile high club.”

This is easy for Virgin Air as they already have an online games portal so Virgin travellers will be able to just continue with their game in mid flight. The other airlines will make use of 888.com. Besides bingo, there will be other gaming activities, but our real concern is with bingo.

As is usual certain Airlines will not provide the gaming portal on flights to the US to comply with their prohibitions against foreign gaming operations in the US.

Some concerns have been voiced about passengers becoming unruly by the Flight Attendants Union but the concerns do not appear to be valid as there are rules that govern the behaviour of in-flight passenger’s already in place.
